Secure Encrypted Messaging

iGolder offers a built-in secure messaging system to privately send and receive messages with other members.  This way, our members can communicate with total privacy and anonymity amongst themselves.  The messages are encrypted and recorded, making the chat conversation the ideal tool for negotiating minute details regarding a business transaction.

In the future, we will integrate a real-time chat messaging, similar as other Instant Messengers.  This feature has been postponed because we wanted to launch iGolder earlier.

Typically, a chat involves only two individuals.  All conversations remain confidential, unless both parties agree to invite a mediator to join the chat.  The task of the mediator is to understand the differences between the buyer and seller, and participate in the chat discussion to find a solution.  If mediation fails, then an arbitrator may join the chat.  The task of the arbitrator is to gather the facts and make a decision.  Since all chat messages are recorded by iGolder, the arbitrator can use the chat conversation as an "official" document concerning what was agreed upon.  The other tool available to the arbitrator is the Safetransit™ Conditions, where a document containing the performances and obligations of each party is linked to a specific transaction.  The arbitrator may also communicate with the buyer, seller and mediator (if any) to clarify certain questions before rendering a verdict.

Ideally, we would like the chat to be used solely when a buyer asks a question to a seller regarding a product or a service.  We feel, however, that recording the chat conversation is great feature adding value to the iGolder network in case of a dispute.  After all, if you wish to have an "off the record" conversation with another member, feel free to use email or any popular instant messenger services.  We value freedom of choice.
