iGolder Club Membership
iGolder is a private peer-to-peer exchange network for individuals. We forbid club
membership to corporations and organizations because such entities are faceless.
Those organizations are nothing more than anonymous entities and therefore cannot
earn a genuine reputation at iGolder.
Besides, we do not have the expertise to validate the authenticity of such
corporate documents because there are too many different types of corporations
and jurisdictions around the world.
If you own a business, you are welcome to open an account under your name
and create a sub-account for your business.
With iGolder, you may
create unlimited sub-accounts,
and you may pick a DBA name (Doing Business As) for
each sub-account. You may therefore operate
multiple businesses with iGolder and your customers
will never know about your other businesses, unless you
wish to disclose them. To ensure privacy
between your business transactions and your personal life, iGolder maintains
a list of feedback comments
for each sub-account. Your reputation score is
shared however, so if one of your business has a bad
reputation, it will affect your reputation
Karma. If you earn a
Demerit Point, then it will affect the transfer fees
of all your sub-accounts. Likewise, any new business you may create will automatically
inherit the good reputation you enjoy at iGolder.
If you work for a corporation, you are welcome to
open an account under your name and make a trade
agreement with your organization for opening a
sub-account on their behalf. We don't mind you doing business on behalf of
an organization, however you are responsible of the actions done under your
account. At iGolder, everyone has equal rights, and we do not grant immunity
to government organizations (corporations) for committing crime. At
iGolder, a crime is a crime, regardless of its origin and who committed it.
For instance, a crime may be committed by single individual, a few
gangsters, or a large gathering of professional criminals calling themselves
"The Government". The world's biggest criminals run the government and
hide behind corporations. They commit crimes with impunity, such as
mass murder (war), kidnapping (conscription), slavery (taxation), theft
(inflation), and extortion using
The Law. When something goes wrong,
those criminals disappear without any consequences to their personal lives - except, of
course, the minor inconvenience of creating a new corporation and resuming their
criminal activities as before. We believe people are responsible of
their actions, and when they commit crime, they should be held accountable
for their actions. Consequently, if a
criminal activity is done under
an account at iGolder, we will take legal actions against the account owner
rather than trying to sue a piece of paper (corporation).
Why does iGolder have this policy?
A business is an entity serving its customers, and we are rather picky
about our customers. At iGolder, we are committed serving people, not
serving faceless corporations - which are nothing more than pieces of paper.
By having this policy, we aim to disqualify large businesses as our
customers.
Shareholders of large corporations don't trust each other, no more than they
trust their CEO.
Therefore, no large corporation would authorize their CEO to open an account
at iGolder, fearing the risk of being scammed by him.
Likewise, no CEO would dare to pledge his name as collateral for what may
happen to his organization. CEOs of large organizations avoid
responsibilities; they seek fat paychecks and a golden parachute in case
anything goes wrong.
A corporation is the
creation of a government and therefore subject to
its government laws and regulations. The government grants special
privileges to its minions (corporations), typically
by making laws to legalize plunder and authorizing the
use of violence towards innocent citizens. We
believe what an individual is not allowed to do,
then a corporation or a government body is not
allowed either. A government is nothing more
than a group of individuals, typically people from
your neighborhood, trying to coerce the rest of the
population to appease their envy.
Why should this group of people (the government, or
some corporation) be granted special privileges
to use force against others? (If you are
looking for an answer to this question, feel free to
read The Nature of the State
or listen to this MP3)
Also, a government may lawfully forbid gold ownership to its
corporations. Since politicians are in
control of the government, they may decide, on a
whim, to confiscate all gold belonging to their
corporations. When politicians are short of funds,
legal plunder becomes their favorite mean to buy
votes for the next election. Therefore, having corporations as customers represents a
liability for the safety and stability of iGolder.
A government cannot forbid gold ownership to sovereign individuals,
unless violating human rights. This is what iGolder is about: individual sovereignty.
