URL for downloading my recent transactions in XML or CSV

iGolder provides you an easy way to automatically download your recent transactions in the XML or CSV format.  Each sub-account includes a secret URL for viewing and/or downloading its recent transactions.  Since your secret URL does not require any login, you may add it to your favorites / bookmarks and use it when you wish to view your recent transactions.

Likewise, you may integrate your secret URL with your accounting software.  Many merchants already have their own databases (or accounting software) to store customer transactions.  With your secret URL, you can easily download your recent transactions and import them to your database.  iGolder offers two data formats: XML and CSV.  The XML format is more convenient if you wish to automate your transactions via web services, and the CSV is more convenient if you wish to import into a spreadsheet software.

To find out your secret URL, select which sub-account you wish to automate, and click on the button Create Secret URL.  iGolder will generate a secure unique URL for the sub-account.  If you feel this URL has been compromised, then click on the button Remove Secret URL, and click again on Create Secret URL to generate a new one.

How Safe is my Secret URL?

First, your secret URL should remain secret.  If you disclose your secret URL, then it is no longer safer than disclosing your login password.  Your secret URL is protected by a random unique number, called GUID.  A GUID is a unique 128-bit number equivalent of a random PIN number containing 38 digits (your ATM debit card PIN has 4 to 6 digits).  Compared to your iGolder password which is probably around 6 characters in length, your 128-bit random number is far longer (38 digits), thereby much more difficult to guess, thus far more secure.  It would take about 10 trillion years to discover your random GUID, assuming hardware capable to guess one trillion GUIDs per second.  To further protect your secret URL, iGolder monitors all user activity, including login failures and failed attempts to guess any GUID.  iGolder will lock out the IP address of any computer trying to tamper our website security.  If you feel your GUID may have been compromised, just generate a new one.  There are plenty of GUIDs available - they are abundant.

Please bear in mind that your secret URL is for viewing (or downloading) your recent transactions only.  No transfers can be done using your secret URL, so even if someone has access to your secret URL, he will be unable to steal any gold from you. The GUID associated with your secret URL cannot be used for any other purpose than viewing transactions, which is no worse than someone reading your bank statement from your mail.

Any data you may view (or download) using your secret URL is encrypted with the same encryption strength as when you access your iGolder account with your secure web browser.  There is no danger for a third party (such as your ISP) listening (spying) on your internet activity to discover your secret URL and/or any content of your recent transactions.

Example of a "Secret" URL

Parameter Description
id Identifier of the sub-account you want to download the recent transactions.  This identifier cannot be an email address; it must be a GUID.  The good news is iGolder creates this URL for you, so you don't have to worry about generating the GUID.
Key The key is your secret GUID acting as your password.  If you generate a new URL, then this Key will have a different value.
Days History range, specified by the number of days you want to download your recent transactions.  If you want to download all transactions for the past 30 days, then enter Days=30.  The larger the value, the longer it takes to download your transactions.  If you balance your transactions daily, then you are welcome to specify a value such as Days=1.
Type Currently, there are two types of data formats supported: XML and CSV.  If this parameter is not specified, then iGolder will return the recent transactions in the XML format.  The XML format is more flexible and ideal for transferring data between websites via web services.  The CSV format is more convenient to import data into a spreadsheet software.  Make your pick.

Since August 1st, 2013 iGolder is no longer accepting new accounts and balances can only be redeemed. During the past years, we have been recommending Bitcoin more than our own payment system. We believe in physical gold ownership, and developed iGolder as a mechanism for people to acquire physical gold by trading with one another.

Since iGolder has a central point of failure (our server may be raided by thugs wearing some kind of uniform), we feet it is safer for us to cease operations. The iGolder experiment has been personally rewarding as we met many gold enthusiasts and also learned about Bitcoin in the process. For those who have no idea what Bitcoin is, we recommend doing your own research. Bitcoin is far superior to iGolder in every way, both in privacy and security as our server is always vulnerable to confiscation. Bitcoin is a communication protocol with a built-in "escrow service" capable of protecting both the buyer and the seller, rendering our Safetransit completely redundant. To learn more about the Bitcoin protocol and its feature, please watch "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD4L7xDNCmA (Bitcoin 2012 London: Mike Hearn).

For those having gold in their iGolder account, we will ship the physical metal to anyone having more than 1 ounce of gold, assuming the owner is willing to assume the shipping costs. For smaller quantities, we offer to settle in Bitcoin, however we will also settle with any other reasonable payment system. We will give everyone at least two full years (until 2016) to contact us to claim their gold. After that period, any unclaimed gold will go to fund an economic development project in Honduras helping local people to become entrepreneurs.

We sincerely wish you the best in life and hope to keep in contact with you.

Yours in liberty,
The iGolder Team.

Update 2014: Since we announced we no longer accept gold transfers, we have received countless emails asking to keep the free gold charts and the PGP encryption tools. We plan to keep running the domain iGolder.com for both the gold charts and the encryption tools. Better, we are developing state of the art open-source software for a secure decentralized social network with a built-in wallet. We will announce when we have a product ready for use. Stay tuned!
