Multiple iGolder Accounts
You may have multiple accounts, however you must contact iGolder to request an
additional account. Only our Verified
Members may have multiple accounts, and the fee to open an additional account is
one gram of gold.
Please understand this restriction is essential to combat fraud and criminal
activities. Fraudsters often use multiple accounts to hide their
identities, and care little about their reputation because they know
they can come back under a new identity. When a member is restricted
to a single account, he is more likely to behave ethically because his
account reputation exposes all his
business activities, and if his account is terminated, he will not be able
to use iGolder anymore.
Please do not try to open multiple account to circumvent our
Know Your Customer policy. If we discover an
individual having multiple accounts without our authorization, we will
consider this a violation of our Account
Agreement and will freeze all accounts for investigation.
There is little need to have multiple accounts, because your account can
hold an unlimited number of
sub-accounts at no cost. Also, there are
no fees to transfer gold from any of your sub-accounts.
Each sub-account has a name, so you may operate multiple businesses from
your account without disclosing your other businesses. You
may pick a DBA name (Doing Business As) for each sub-account and therefore
operate multiple businesses with a single account. Your customers will
never know about your other businesses, unless you wish to disclose them.
To ensure privacy between your business transactions and your personal life,
iGolder maintains a list of feedback comments for each sub-account. Your
overall reputation is shared however, so if one of your business earns a bad
reputation, it will affect your overall feedback reputation score
(also known as Karma).
Your Karma is calculated from all transactions under your account.
On the other hand, any new business you create will automatically inherit
the reputation you enjoy at iGolder.
